Gemma Hunt to Become T4U Ambassador

CBeebies Star Gemma Hunt Joins Teams4U as New Ambassador

Teams4U is thrilled to announce the appointment of beloved children’s television presenter, Gemma Hunt, as their newest ambassador. Many will recognise Gemma from her energetic and engaging role on the popular CBeebies show, “Swashbuckle,” where she brought joy and adventure to countless young viewers. Now, she’s bringing that same passion and enthusiasm to support the vital work of Teams4U.

Teams4U is a charity dedicated to providing aid and support to vulnerable children and families around the world. Their work, which includes the well-known Shoebox Appeal, delivers essential items and brings hope to children and families in need. Gemma’s decision to join the charity as an ambassador stems from a genuine connection and a shared vision.

“I was so impressed by the thoughtful & supportive work of Teams4U that I volunteered to get involved as soon as I heard Dave Cooke share passionately about the charity at a Carol service last year,” Gemma Hunt explained. “After chatting with the team and realising that we had a symbiotic calling in our ministry’s to be ‘salt and light’ I just knew I was meant to share in the adventure of Teams4U. They have a unique place in the field as a charity driven by integrity of faith but working with and for people of all or no faith.”

Gemma recently experienced the impact of Teams4U’s work firsthand during a trip to Georgia, where she witnessed the distribution of shoeboxes in partnership with the Red Cross. This experience profoundly moved her.

Gemma shares,
“I was fortunate enough to visit Georgia with them recently to see how they distribute the shoe boxes with help of the Red Cross on the ground. It was a truly humbling experience, giving out gifts to children who were delightfully grateful. I was naively surprised to see girls aged between 12-15years who were overwhelmingly grateful to receive the teddies that my 8year old daughter had outgrown. Again, I was humbled by the innocent immaturity of these girls. As I saw them cuddling their new teddies I thought of the years those teddies had sat on the end of my daughter’s bed, watching her sleep. I said a silent prayer that the Good Lord would watch over those girls to protect them, love them and see them just as I was able to hug them, love them and share with them thanks to the support of Teams4U.”

Simon Cooke of Teams4U, who travelled with Gemma to Georgia, shared his excitement about her involvement. “It was a wonderful spending time with Gemma and discussing the positive impact that she can have for the charity. Her genuine compassion and ability to connect with people are truly inspiring. We are so grateful to have her on board and are excited to see the difference she will make in raising awareness and support for our work.”

Teams4U welcomes Gemma Hunt with open arms and looks forward to a fruitful partnership that will bring hope and joy to even more children around the world.
